I paint the world's beauty, not just as it appears, but as it feels. I immerse myself in my subjects, tracing the dance of sunlight across a cheek, or capturing the wild, untamed spirit of wind-whipped water. Each brushstroke is an attempt to share these moments with you the viewer.
I hope you will take a moment to grab a cup of coffee, put some great music on and enjoy my work.
Thank you for stopping by.

New Release - Morning at Maplelawn Gardens
It is nearly midday at Maple Lawn Garden in Ottawa, Ontario.
I have found sanctuary from the heat, safe under the canopy of a massive maple tree. In this fleeting, quiet moment before the garden volunteers arrive to pull, plant, and water, I have a front-row seat to Mother Nature’s art. From my cool retreat, I watch as she coaxes breathtaking blooms of yellow, pink, and purple to breathe open, creating yet another masterpiece for the day’s admirers.
New Release - Alexandria Morning
It was a bright September morning in Alexandria, Ontario, Canada. What a historic little town. It dates back to just a few years after the War of 1812. At the time Upper Canada decided it needed a mill and a town was born.
My painting group, the OPAP(Ottawa Plein-Air Painters), were invited by the PMAC (Priest's Mill Art Gallery) to come and spend the day painting, enjoying the atmosphere, taking in free tutorials by local artists and hopefully using our memories of this town in a painting.
I walked the towns streets and found a lovely meandering river and waterfall that overlook a stone patio behind the gallery. There are lots of lovely old buildings and home that were definite possibilities. But when I happened onto this old iron gate that beckoned me to stop and view the lake, I knew I had found my spot. I secured a spot under a large maple tree, dug out my headphones and let the world drift away while I contemplated colour, composition and how best to translate the tranquility and calmness of the spot.
Many thanks to Lourens Joubert, Executive Director of the PMAC gallery and the whole staff for making it a wonderful day.
